In Bahrain

So I'm in Bahrain now. I am supposed to be in India right now. But I'm not.

Basically, this time my flight to Bahrain was a little more eventful because I had a friend travelling with me on the same flight. She gave me a heart attack on the way. What happened was, that we were heading towards the tube things that lead into the flight, and she over-heard one of the security people talking over their walkie-talkie. Since it was in arabic I dint get it. But she did. She told me that they had found something in one of the baggages and they had to get it back out (my flight was already delayed by half an hour, this added to the delay). And she concluded it was most likely drugs. We reach near the entrance of the flight and she stops dead. She doesnt move. "Whats wrong?" I ask. She has this odd expression on her face and she says "I cant get on the flight. Something is very wrong. I can feel it." I was in shock. What was she saying? I look at the security guy standing there (he had a long black beard and a gun in his waist band thingy - typical terrorist look). I stood there with her, thinking I have to get on the flight no matter what. And then I picture myself on the flight in mid-air and "KABOOM!" the bomb goes off. After several minutes of convincing by the airport staff and security, she got on the plane. And she goes "I knew I was right. Something was wrong. They took her baggage off the flight and dint let her get on." I could have wanted to kill her for scaring me like that. And she went on to tell me about her 'sixth sense'. (I pray she never reads my blog).

And then I reach Bahrain. We had exactly 2 hours to get back to the airport for our flight to India (me and my dad). We raced back to his room, packed everything up in a hurry and after we were all set, my dad was like we should call the airport and confirm the flight timing. (floods in India have been delaying flights for several days now). And when he did call, they said the flight was delayed by 11 hours. Sigh! My dad was like we will still go ourselves and have a look. We left for the airport, and the flight was actually delayed. He convinced the flight in-charge guy that we came a long way with so much luggage. So they checked us in so that we wouldnt have to carry it back with us. (There went ALL my clothes, my toothbrush and blah blah). So we slept over it, and then got all packed again, and off to the airport. My dad decides to call the airport again. What do you know! Another 2 hour delay again! My dad is like there is nothing to do till then, we'll go to the office. So yeah I'm at his office now. He went out for something, poor me getting bored. hehe.

So anyways, if there isnt any more delay I should be on the flight to India in approximately 3 hours. InshaAllah.

Oh by the way, my uncle was telling me about this building being constructed in Bangalore (a city in India) with 204 floors. I mean like woa! The world is on a tallest building spree everywhere! And then he went on to talk about how the elevator there crosses one floor in one second, which would make it an estimated 5 minutes to get to the top floor. Like 5 minutes in an elevator is a LOT! SubhanAllah! Thats like 10 minutes to go up and come back down. This is like one means to kill time.

Over and out now.
Ma'assalama!
